Terms of service

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your account.

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Break any applicable law or infringe anyone's rights;
• Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
• Scrape, copy, or harvest data from the Service except as expressly permitted;
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or impersonate others;
• Post content that is unlawful, fraudulent, or otherwise objectionable; or
• Use the Service to violate the rules or terms of any third-party platform, including Discord, the Apple App Store, Google Play, or Cloud Imperium Games.

You retain ownership of the content you create or submit through the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, and display Your Content solely as needed to operate and provide the Service — for example, to sync it across your devices and to share it with the organizations you choose.

You are responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the rights necessary to submit it. We may remove content that violates these Terms or that we believe is harmful or unlawful.

The Service lets you join organizations and share information with other members. Content you contribute to a shared organization (such as stock, ledger, or trading-post activity) may be visible to other members and may remain with the organization after you leave. Be mindful of what you share. We are not responsible for how other members use information you choose to share.

Some features may require a paid subscription or one-time purchase. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are processed and billed by those platforms and are subject to their terms. Where applicable, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you can manage or cancel them through your app-store account.

Except where required by law or by the applicable app store's policies, payments are non-refundable. Prices and features may change; we will provide notice where required.

The Service relies on and integrates with third-party services (including Google Firebase, Vercel, RevenueCat, the Apple App Store, Google Play, Discord, and the Star Citizen community database scmdb.net). We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their content, and your use of them may be governed by their own terms. In-game item and crafting data is provided for convenience and may be inaccurate or out of date.

Hangarworks and its original content, features, and branding are owned by us and protected by applicable law. Star Citizen®, Squadron 42®, and related names, marks, and assets are the property of Cloud Imperium Rights LLC. Hangarworks is an unofficial fan tool, is not affiliated with or endorsed by Cloud Imperium Games, and makes no claim to their intellectual property.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any data will be accurate or preserved.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hangarworks and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. To the extent we are found liable, our total liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $50.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hangarworks and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

We may modify or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; when we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
