Star Citizen 4.10 — ten new ways to move rocks
4.10 added ten crafting blueprints, every one of them mining gear, removed nothing at all, and quietly corrected four names that had been attached to the wrong body parts.
Diffed 4.9.0-live.12344265 → 4.10.0-live.12519617
Every patch note begins with the same small dread - what's worse this time - and 4.10 answers, almost suspiciously, nothing. Not one blueprint was removed. The list went from 1,597 to 1,607, and all ten arrivals are devices for extracting rocks from other, larger, more stubborn rocks.
Ten new blueprints, all mining
Ore pods: Argo, Drake, GOLEM MC-4, MISC, and MISC Enhanced. Five containers whose entire purpose is to be full of something you would rather be carrying than not carrying.
Mining modules, active: Clearcut and Stampede.
Mining modules, passive: Deluge, Overrun, and Torrent III. There is no Torrent I or Torrent II in the list, which raises questions best left alone.
All ten are single-tier, 95-second crafts. Ninety-five seconds is an oddly specific figure to arrive at by accident, so presumably somebody arrived at it on purpose.
Nothing you own moved
This is the part that would actually have hurt, so it was checked rather than assumed: zero tags changed under a stable GUID. Blueprint identity in Hangarworks is the scmdb GUID, so every blueprint your members have claimed is still the same blueprint, still attached to the same person, still counted in the same org totals. The renames above change what a thing is called and nothing else.
Which is the correct amount of drama for a patch note: none.
